Mise en place

I was reading Smitten Kitchen today and she posted a link to this post (which is worth reading for more than one reason):

I think I have a new obsession. I'm going to need to get me some nesting bowls. In pretty colours. Like the light blue-green ones shown. Oh boy.

Mise en place (French for "put in place") has just taken on a whole new meaning for me.

(I'll have more to blog about later, the Lace Top is coming along, and I had my birthday this week too! Unfortunately I was out-of-town most of the week so my birthday cake extravaganza will have to wait a bit. But it will happen!)
