I think I've got it covered...

So I finished the Aeolian shawl a little while back and got all ready to block. It was wet and everything.
About 1/3 of the way through pinning the shawl I ran out of pins. Bother. So I let it dry, unpinned it and put "flower head pins" on my crafty shopping list.
A few days ago when I was wandering the aisles of Michael's craft store, I stumbled upon the flower head pins.
Sidenote: Having a crafty shopping list is completely pointless for me, because upon finding the flower head pins, I realized that had I not chanced to walk down that aisle I would have walked out the of the store without even attempting to find the pins listed on my crafty shopping list.
But back to the point, I was about to grab a 100 pk when I spied something even better:
A 500 pk! After almost 15 minutes of deliberation and calculating I went with the 500 pk (it was about $6.20 after the 40% off coupon in case anyone wonders).

Today with my new trusty pins I re-blocked the shawl (FO pics soon by the way). I used exactly 150 pins. I guess I didn't really need 500. But now I can block multiple pieces if I want.

Yup, that's a lot of pins:

For sure:

Yes, that *is* a lot of pins!

I love my blocking wires, but I'm not sure the edge of your shawl would have worked out with those.

Looking good!

Can't wait to see it on.

Oh, have you noticed the leaves are just barely starting to change? I haven't figured out anything I can do to keep them on the trees a little longer :(
